Biofuels Digest Index dips to 71.31 as ethanol slides

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, slipped 0.24 percent to 71.31 as ethanol stocks faltered.  For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) plunged 15.15 percent to $0.84, while Amyris (AMRS) fell 5.74 percent to a new low of $3.61. Among other equities, Solazyme (SZYM) slid 4.36 percent to $12.28 .  Overall, declines led advances 9 to 5 for the day.
