San Carlos Bioenergy in the Philippines expands as government encourages local ethanol production

In the Philippines, San Carlos Bioenergy will be expanding its ethanol distillery to produce at least 40 million liters/ year from its current production, around 3.35 million liters/ year. The plans had been shelved temporarily after Brazilian imports threatened local producers, but since the government compromised to encourage investments in the local ethanol industry.
