Universal Robina to invest in sugarcane ethanol project in Philippines

In the Philippines, Universal Robina, which announced to the Philippines Stock Exchange in February that it was amending its articles to include ethanol production, has decided to invest $ 631,805 in a 100,000 liter per day ethanol facility that will use sugar from its facilities in Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Iloilo City, Cagayan, and Passi City. It expects the facility to come online in 2013.
