April 25, 2012 |

In India, the Indian Oil Company is reviewing its commercial biofuel strategy in light of questionable results from jatropha investments but it will still go forward with current jatropha projects in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh.

The company is in discussions with a US-based company for better seed while it is also looking at opportunities with pongamia. A lack of access to large amounts of poor quality land has hindered the company’s expansion plans.
