Biofuels Digest Index flat at 70.50 despite ethanol slide

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, was flat at 70.50, up 0.03 percent despite ethanol woes.  For the day, Aventine (AWRW) fell 10.71 percent to $2.50,  while Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) recovered 3.91 percent to $8.23.  Among other equities, Ceres (CERE) fell 5.87 percent to $13.62.  Overall, advances led declines 2 to 1 for the day.
