IEA says biofuels production needs to double, gov’ts need to level playing field

In the UK, the International Energy Agency has released its report Tracking Clean Energy Progress that shows that biofuels production needs to double, requiring a four-fold increase in advanced biofuels production over currently announced capacity by 2020.

It said that governments must level the playing field for clean energies, ensuring that energy prices reflect the “true cost” of energy – accounting for the positive and negative impacts of energy production and consumption.
