OriginOil revenues up, loss widens in Q1 as company expands

In California, OriginOil reported losses of $1.78 million for the first quarter, up from $0.97 million for Q1 2011. Revenues jumped from $0.10 million in Q1 2011 to $0.54 million for Q1 2012, reflecting systems sales to MBD Energy. This week, the company also filed for filed two patents with the USPTO describing its unique technology for processing solids in solution, expected to find immediate application in oil and gas field wastewater cleanup and going forward, markets in industrial wastewater and remediation of toxic chemicals.
