AgriLife Research completes phase two algae cattle feed trials

May 28, 2012 |

Experiments included trials with algae in both powder form as well as in raw form replacing dried distillers grains or cottonseed meal as protein supplements. The cattle ate the algae with gusto so researchers are looking into issues such as market structure and supply infrastructure.
