Abolitz invests $150M in Gazasia waste biofuels project in the Philippines

In the UK, Gazasia has received a $150 million investment from Abolitz Equity Ventures, a Philippine power group, to develop and deploy plants in the Philippines to make liquid biomethane from landfill-based organic waste. The liquid biomethane will be used for transportation fuel.

“The impact of higher vehicle fuel prices has been especially severe in South East Asia,” explained Richard Lilleystone, CEO of Gazasia, told Waste Management World.
