Fungi may be viable feedstock, Indian study says

In India, fungi may be a viable biofuel feedstock. Researchers have published a paper which shows that certain single-cell oils produced by fungi from lignocellulosic biomass. The researchers, from the University of Pune, looked at 14 strains of fungi and five of the strains studied seemed viable, although the strain aspergillus terries seemed to be the most promising of the bunch.
