Center for Jatropha Promotion & Biodiesel touts castor bean

In India, the Center for Jatropha Promotion & Biodiesel has lately thrown its weight behind R&D on castor beans, saying that the castor, as a companion crop, can double returns and yields for farmers, with castor bean acting as a cover crop, as well as producing a high-value renewable oil. CJP is researching castor in conjunction with R&D on pongamia pinnata and Indian Mustard.
