CleanStar Ventures, Novozymes to host Rio+20 event, featuring ethanol cook stoves

In Brazil, CleanStar Ventures and Novozymes will be hosting a side event at the upcoming Rio+20 Summit. The two companies established an innovative food and energy business in Mozambique that delivers urban households an affordable ethanol-based cooking alternative to charcoal.

CleanStar Mozambique’s operations span the entire value chain for food and cooking fuel, involving smallholder farmers and agro-processing facilities in central Mozambique and a company-owned distribution network in Maputo.
