Leather fabric made from bacteria, green tea, sugar and yeast

In the UK, Suzanne Lee has developed a “vegetable leather” fabric made using bacteria, green tea, sugar and yeast.  The material can be cut, dried, molded and sewn.  The product has a life expectancy of five years, at which point it will rot and harden, but not to worry, as it can be composted with a standard home garden composting system.
