OriginOil sees shaply expanded markets for liquids-solids separation technology

In California, OriginOil, in a note to supporters and shareholders, said that the company’s platform technology, which separates solids from liquids in a single pass, without the use of chemicals, has multiple market implications.

The company identified: the Algae Market, projected to grow to $1.6 billion by 2015; the Produced Water Market, with a potential market for the disposal and treatment of produced water from oil production of at least $400 billion; and the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Market, a $183 billion market for water and wastewater treatment and filtration products and services, as projected by McIlvaine in “Water, Wastewater, and Filtration: World Markets”.
