In Europe, the role of biofuels in carbon capture technology is the subject of a new report published by the European Biofuels Technology Platform. The report asserts that the EU should take several steps to implementing Biomass with CO2 Capture and Storage technology because it is the only large-scale technology that can result in carbon negative products. The report advocates that biofuels can play an important role in the process; implementing biomass conversion methods like a bio-chemical biofuel production and/or biomass combustion for heat and power could be hugely successful.
