Biofuels Digest Index recovers to 61.22 despite ethanol woes

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, recovered 1.07 percent to 61.22 despite another beating for ethanol stocks. For the day, Aventine Renewables (AVRW) fell 11.67 percent to $0.53, while Biofuel Energy (BIOF) tumbled 11.39 percent to $2.49. Among other equities, Codexis (CDXS) jumped 4.07 percent to $3.84.  Overall, advances led declines 7 to 2 for the day.
