Cuba’s first jatropha biodiesel facility comes online.

In Cuba, the country’s first jatropha-based biodiesel plant has come online with an annual production of just 100 metric tons. It is expected that 130 hectares of jatropha will be planted to supply seeds to the facility. The project is part of a cross-ministry cooperation that includes support from the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation.
