Aviam may lose license for failing to implement jatropha project

In Mozambique, the $20 million Italian-backed jatropha project Aviam is at risk of losing its license for failing to achieve implementation goals set out in an agreed timetable with the government. Of the 10,000 hectares licensed for planting jatropha, only 150 hectares have been planted so far and there are no signs of the promised biodiesel production plant either.
