Nippon prepares Boeing 747-8 for first biofuel flight

In Japan, Nippon has received its first Boeing 747-8 Freighter as it prepares for its first biofuel flight, using a blend of biofuels, jet kerosene, and used cooking oil. The plane is expected to lower carbon dioxide emissions by 16%, while also expanding cargo capacity and lowering its noise footprint. Nippon will be the first Japanese airline to fly a biofuel-powered flight.
