Increased cassava ethanol demand good news for Agro2

In Panama, leading cassava producer, Agro2 S.A., announced the expansion of its current cassava production due to increased demand. The company is building a larger cassava processing plant with alcohol and flour production units to complement its existing small-scale 500 liters per day ethanol plant. To meet the demand, Agro2 has tripled its planation from 33 to 100 hectares and hopes to optimize production by researching new cassava varieties.
