PTPN X to Build Indonesian Bioethanol Plant

In Indonesia, state-owned sugar producer PT Perkebunan Nusantara has announced plans to build a bioethanol plant with an installed capacity of 30,000 KL per annum. Construction of the facility, to be built in Mojokerto, East Java, is expected to be complete by November 2012. The Japanese New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) has pledged will provide US$16 million to fund the machinery for the plant, and the of balance US$9.5 million is to be financed by Indonesian government
