Biofuels Digest Index dips to 61.37 as ethanol slides

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, dipped 0.26 percent to 61.37 as ethanol dropped. For the day, Biofuel Energy (BIOF) shed 6.36 percent to $3.09, while Syntroleum (SYNM) jumped 16.92 percent to $0.76 . Among other equities, Solazyme (SZYM) dropped 2.56 percent to $12.20. Overall, declines led advances 5 to 4 for the day.
