Indian government considers reducing value added tax on biofuel by 9%

In India, government is considering a reduction of the VAT (value added tax) on biofuel from 14% to 5%, according to Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar. As the Biofuel Mela 2012 opens in Bangalore, the government is expected to work towards the goal over the three-day program organized by the Karnataka State Biofuel Development Board.
