Scottish investnment in UK renewables benefits growing biofuel sector

In the UK, Scottish investment in renewable energy has reached new peaks as the sector has attracted over USD$4b in capital investment since 2009. Although wind farms have been the focus of the investment so far, the biofuel sector has benefited from over $400m in investment over the last three years. Scotland, which is home to more than 60% of the UK’s forests, holds huge market potential according to Scottish Development International (SDI).
