Biomass ethanol producer looking to site plant in Franklin County

In New York state, an unidentified Seattle-based company is in talks with the Franklin County Industrial Development Agency regarding the possible development of biomass-based biofuel production facility that would rely on the local forestry industry for feedstock supply. The company is looking at other areas as well but as had two successful in-person meetings with the county regarding the project that could bring “scores” of direct and indirect jobs.
