Nestle chairman urges politicians to end use of food in producing biofuels

In Switzerland, Nestle chairman Peter Brabeck has taken action on an anti-biofuels platform, urging politicians to end the use of food in their production. He went on to specify that he is not anti-biofuels, but absolutely against the use of food products in relation to their production. The chairman indicated that the price of Nestle food products such as milk and coffee would fall in the second half of the year, but that the swings and pressures brought on by competition from biofuels producers may cause a financial impact in the medium term.
