Biofuels Digest Index edges up to 61.15 as ethanol rebounds sharply

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, edged up 0.20 percent to 61.15 as ethanol recovered sharply.  For the day, Aventine Renewable Energy (AVRW) surged 33.33 percent to $0.68, while Ceres (CERE) rebounded 6.11 percent to $6.77. Among other equities,  Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) soared 11.11 percent to $0.40. Overall, declines and advances were even for the day.
