Valero to restart idled ethanol plants “soon”, looking at new expansion opportunities

In Nebraska, Valero Energy spokesman Bill Day said “We’re always exploring opportunities,”  in response to questions  as to whether ethanol plant closures could lead to new acquisitions by Valero. At the same time, Day confirmed that operations at its own idled plants in Albion, Nebraska and Linden, Indiana are expected to restart soon, when corn harvesting starts to bring down current crop prices.
