State-owned coal company dumping renewable energy arm

In New Zealand, despite investing NZ$100 million over the past few years to develop a biofuels business, state-owned coal mining company Solid Energy is shedding its renewables arm by either closing or selling subsidiaries Biodiesel NZ and wood pellet company Nature’s Flame.
