Biofuels Digest Index slips back to 63.19 as ethanol retreats

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, slipped back 0.85 percent to 63.19 as ethanol stocks slumped. For the day, Biofuel Energy (BIOF) retreated 12.95 percent to $4.10, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) ebbed 7.50 percent to $0.37. Among other equities, Biox (BX.TO) jumped 13.75 percent to $0.91. Overall, declines led advances 9 to 5 for the day.
