In Washington, recent estimates from the DOE suggest that ethanol production will rise again later in the year to reach an average of 830,000 bpd during the July-December period. From there it expects production to rise further to 870,000 bpd during the second half of 2013. Production will still remain lower than the first half of 2012 that saw record ethanol production before this summer’s drought negatively impacted corn production.
