UNICA says ethanol production jumped 10% during last half of August

In Brazil, UNICA says dry weather during the last two weeks of August allowed sugar mills to boost the crush significantly and reach record production levels for the period, including an increase in ethanol production by 10.3% year-on-year to 1.92 billion liters. Anhydrous production was up more than 16% while hydrous was up more than 5%.
