Biofuels Digest Index slides to 68.80 as ethanol rally chills

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, dumped 1.81 percent to 68.80 as the late summer ethanol rally chilled.  For the day, Biofuel Energy (BIOF) plunged 12.83 percent to $8.90, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) plummeted 18.84 percent to $0.56. Among other equities, KiOR (KIOR) surged 3.86 percent to $8.62. Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.
