Biofuels Digest Index drops to 66.46 as advanced biofuels tumble

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, dropped 1.34 percent to close at 66.46 as advanced biofuels tumbled.  For the day, Biofuel Energy (BIOF) recovered 8.40 percent to $6.45, while Gevo (GEVO) plunged 35.35 percent to $2.14 on news that it had missed 2012 operating targets. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) sank 5.91 percent to $3.82. Overall, declines led advances 5 to 2 for the day.
