Canada to build its first organics biofuel facility

September 26, 2012 |

In Canada, construction will begin on the country’s largest organics biofuel facility next year in Surrey, British Colombia, with plans to open in 2015. The project will process waste into natural gas, decreasing landfill use from roughly 100,000 homes. The federal government will support the project costs and a private company will be selected to design, construct and manage the facility.
