Biofuels Digest Index drops to 64.99 as ethanol slumps anew

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, dropped 1.02 percent to close at 64.99 as ethanol slumped.  For the day, Aventine Renewable Energy (AVRWD) lost 58.00 percent to $32.00 following a capital reorganization, while Gevo (GEVO) surged 16.30 percent to $2.14. Among other equities, KiOR (KIOR) jumped 11.91 percent to $9.30. Overall, declines led advances 9 to 5 for the day.
