Speculation over minimum ethanol blending obligation increase in Brazil for 2013

In Brazil, according to industry sources, the country’s federal government is planning to increase the minimum-blending obligation for anhydrous fuel ethanol and gasoline from 20% vol. to 25% vol. This change is expected to take place on June 1, 2013, but could begin as early as May if the country’s election campaigns begin early.
