UK poised to close ethanol capacity gap in coming years

October 2, 2012 |

In the UK, Vivergo’s planned ethanol plant near Hull, which will be one of the largest in Europe, and Ensus’s recently reopened plant in Teesside will significantly increase the biofuel capacity for the country in the coming years. Both plants produce ethanol from lower quality, low-protein wheat traditionally used for animal feed.
