Metro Fuel Oil Corp to sell Brooklyn biodiesel plant after filing bankruptcy

In New York, Metro Fuel Oil Corp. is considering the sale its large, multi-feedstock biodiesel plant currently under construction in Brooklyn. Approximately 90 percent complete, the plant has production capacity of 110 MMgy and bids on the property are due by the end of October. The sale comes only weeks after Metro Fuel Oil Corp. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Interested bidders will be provided with a wide range of additional due diligence materials pertaining to the sales process after signing a confidentiality agreement.
