OriginOil receives first Australian patent

In California, OriginOil announced that it has received its first international patent for its algae harvesting technology from the Australian patent office.  The invention, titled “Systems, apparatus and methods of obtaining intracellular products and cellular mass and debris from algae and derivative products and process of use thereof,” was issued as patent number 2010239380 in Australia for a term of 20 years beginning in 2010.  OriginOil has selected Melbourne-based Frontline Engineering Australia as its Certified Support Partner to help algae producers and integrators install, engineer and operate OriginOil systems in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
