Uniol sues Petrotec and European Biodiesel Board for false statement over biodiesel origin

In Norway, biodiesel producer Uniol AS has begun legal proceedings against Petrotec and the European Biodiesel Board (EBB) claiming that the parties have spread false allegations that Uniol produced and marketed biodiesel that was not of Norwegian origin. Uniol claims to possess documentation proving that the parties, who are the company’s direct competitors, created false rumors and falsely accused Uniol of being involved in fraudulent actions regarding custom tariffs and biodiesel origin. Uniol is calling for these allegations to be retracted and is asking for compensation for the damages incurred by the false statements.
