Wisconsin Ethanol plant opens doors to educate the public

October 10, 2012 |

In Wisconsin, the Friesland Renewable Energy Production facility will host an open house, where members of the United Wisconsin Grain Producers will give public tours of the ethanol plant, as well as educate the public on the benefits of ethanol in a rural agricultural economy. The event is an effort to better inform consumers about ethanol, clarify misinformation and highlight the renewable fuel’s benefits. The plant produces approximately 60 million gallons of ethanol per year from 20 million bushels of corn. It also produces approximately 160,000 ton of distillers feed and two million gallons of crude corn oil.
