Murphy Oil splits sales and production into two companies

In New York, Murphy Oil announced it will split into two companies in an effort to separate sales from exploration and production. Fuel sales will be managed by Murphy USA, and will operate retail fuel stations in 23 states as well as seven fuel distribution terminals and ethanol plants in North Dakota and Texas. Exploration and production of oil in the U.S., Canada and Malaysia will be managed by Murphy Oil.
