India can meet 59% of gasoline demand with 2nd gen biofuel by 2020, Novozymes asserts

In India, Steen Riisgaard of Novozymes asserted that India will be able to meet up to 59% of its gasoline demand with second generation biofuels as of 2020. “Second generation biofuels have the ability to help India meet its growing energy needs while providing reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and the opportunity for economic and job growth through the domestic production of biofuels,” said Riisgaard. “India is a significant market for Novozymes and we believe we can positively contribute to the sustainable future of the country.”
