Reliance Industries looks to pivot towards chemical production from CO2 capture

In India, the Economic Times newspaper reports that Reliance Industries announced it was going to begin pivoting towards the production of chemicals and other products from CO2. One of the world’s largest oil refiners, the company refines oil and gas but the company’s CEO said during the AGM on Wednesday that it was looking at novel catalytic and electrochemical transformations of CO2 as well as carbon capture and storage technologies. The company has an aggressive strategy to become carbon neutral by 2035, pivoting towards new energy and materials.
