US drought leads to big boost in Brazilian ethanol and corn exports

In Brazil, ethanol and corn exports are receiving a major boost thanks to the drought that has devastated parts of the US’s Midwest farm belt. October ethanol exports hit 492.2 million liters, up from the 452.7 million in September and 247 million liters in October a year ago. October corn exports hit a record of 3.66 million metric tons.
