Indiana’s oldest ethanol plant gets mothballed
In Indiana, the state’s oldest biofuel plant New Energy mothballed production last week and laid off 40 workers. Enough staff have been kept on to maintain the facility during the winter months and the company hopes to be able to purchase corn and re-start production as soon as prices come down.
