New Zealand could lose $147 million in taxes with ethanol blend

In New Zealand, Z Energy says that the government could lose $147 million if all gas supplies switch to ethanol blends like it is planning to do, because ethanol receives a tax exemption of 49 cents per liter. The company, which is looking to invest in ethanol bulk storage, expects to save $49 million per year by switching to ethanol blends.
