UK used cooking oil supply shrinking with negative effects for industry

In the UK, the national biodiesel industry is at risk because of shrinking supplies of waste cooking oilβ€”the main feedstock for domestic biodiesel production. The first quarter of 2012 saw UCO account for 45% of feedstock but only 15% during the most recent quarter. Large-scale waste oil collectors have fallen to just 20 from 31 last year.
