UK used cooking oil supply shrinking with negative effects for industry

In the UK, the national biodiesel industry is at risk because of shrinking supplies of waste cooking oil—the main feedstock for domestic biodiesel production. The first quarter of 2012 saw UCO account for 45% of feedstock but only 15% during the most recent quarter. Large-scale waste oil collectors have fallen to just 20 from 31 last year.
